  • General information about the student,
  • Transcript,
  • Foreign Language Exam Result Document (in the relevant language, English or Russian

Afterwards, the International Relations Office examines the incoming applications and checks whether the documents are complete and complete, if there are missing or incorrect applications, the Mevlana Office Officer sends correction messages to the e-mail address registered in the system during the application period. It is very important for the student to check the e-mail address they have registered in the system frequently during the application period for the success of the application. Afterwards, the weighted grade point averages of the successful applicants are evaluated. In the evaluation, the overall score is calculated by taking into account the sum of 50% of the grade point average of the students who have the above application requirements, and 50% of the language scores indicating the relevant language level used in the education of the higher education institution where Mevlana Exchange Program will be a student, and the ranking is made in accordance with the existing quotas. candidate student list is forwarded to YÖK. The list of Scholarship Students Eligible for Mevlana Exchange Program and Non-Scholarship Students Eligible for Mevlana Exchange Program, selected according to the decision of YÖK, is announced on the website of the International Relations Office. Since the students who are entitled to benefit from the exchange with scholarships have the possibility to waive these rights, our students who are entitled to benefit from the exchange without a scholarship, instead of the candidates who waive, always have a chance to win a scholarship. For this reason, it is of great importance that our students, who are entitled to participate in the exchange without a scholarship, follow the process until the end.

After the announcement of the foreign language exam results and the candidate student pre-evaluation list, the candidate students who want to waive their rights submit their waiver petitions to the UIO. Click for Waiver Petition>>

Exchange Periods and Tuition Expenses within the Scope of Mevlana Exchange Program Mevlana Exchange Program students are given scholarships for one semester (Fall or Spring Semester). Students can benefit from the program in both terms, one semester with scholarship, one semester with scholarship, and one semester without scholarship.

Academic Recognition, Equivalence of Courses and Benefiting from the Program

  • Higher education institutions provide full recognition to educational activities.
  • Before the learning mobility starts, the program related to the defined courses is confirmed in writing by signing a learning protocol by all parties. Higher education institutions are obliged to accept the credits and equivalence of all courses successfully completed at the end of the exchange program and consider them successful. These courses are specified in the diploma supplement.
  • In exchange, the credits of the courses are taken into account, not the number of courses.
  • Students do not lose any semester when they return to their country, as the course equivalence is clearly determined within the framework of the Mevlana Exchange Program Learning Protocol.
  • Students can benefit from Mevlana Exchange Program only once during their education at our university.
  • Instructors can benefit from the program only once in an academic year.

Scholarships During the Mevlana Exchange Program

Matters related to students:

  • Other scholarships and loans they receive from our university continue during their education.
  • The amount of scholarship to be paid to students differs by considering the economic life standards of the country where the students go for education.
  • In payments to students, 80% of the scholarship amount is paid monthly. The payment of the remaining scholarship amount of the student is made on the basis of the student's success in the courses he is obliged to take.

Which grading and crediting system will be used for students participating in the exchange within the scope of Mevlana Exchange Program?

The course load of Mevlana Exchange Program students based on the credits determined within the framework of a common credit system cannot be less than the course load that they must take in the same semester in the higher education institutions they are registered with. In exchange, the credits of the courses are taken into account, not the number of courses. Higher education institutions can agree on a common crediting system, as well as take the ECTS Crediting system as a basis for change, provided that they declare that they mutually agree on the protocol they signed.

Signatory higher education institutions take the necessary measures to prevent the repetitions of courses that may arise due to the courses taken or to be taken by the students in their own institutions, to match the courses they will take in their own institutions during the exchange period with the courses they will take in the higher education institution they will attend, and to ensure that students do not lose credits, courses, semesters or years during the exchange. For this purpose, in order to prevent course repetitions in the completion of the credits, courses can be selected from the lower and upper classes of the higher education institution. In the Learning Protocol, the credits of the courses and the courses to be considered as equivalent are clearly determined before the start of the academic year.

The passing grade of the courses applied in the higher education institution where they studied as a Mevlana Exchange Program student is taken as a basis in equalizing the grades of the courses in which the students are successful. Students who want to go to institutions with different passing grades are informed about the subject before the exchange period starts. It is assumed that students who sign the learning protocol are informed about the subject.

Equivalences are approved by the board of directors of the relevant academic unit. Successful courses and credits of students benefiting from the Mevlana Exchange Program are indicated in writing in the course and transcripts of the higher education institutions they are registered with.

Information on Incoming Student

Students who intend to come to our university within the scope of the Mevlana Exchange Program forward the necessary documents to the relevant department coordinators through our university's institutional coordinator. The department coordinator reviews the documents related to the incoming student and pays attention to course equivalence. If the department deems it appropriate, it signs the necessary places and sends them back to the institution coordinator. The institutional coordinator, on the other hand, informs the Institution Coordinator on the other side and initiates the process to realize the change.
